I’m a Vietnam Veteran who murdered a family member, because of anger. Since being in Pathway to Freedom, I’m beginning the healing process to help me recognize where all this bottled up anger came from. I was raised in a dysfunctional family, left home to join the Air Force, because of the emotional pain from my childhood. This pain was so deep rooted that I cracked and killed someone who was very dear to me. I had become a compulsive drug abuser. With Pathway to Freedom (PTF) classes and discussions, I’m able to get to the root of what I carried over from childhood. God has begun the healing in my heart with the help of PTF programs to enhance discussions with my peers. I’m able to talk about things I had no idea existed but I knew something was wrong.

I thought something was really wrong only with me; I had no idea that others experienced the same emotional problems that I had. I only knew that I was hurting inside but couldn’t put my finger on it. There’s so much to explain how God has shown me how much He loves me and through His love, I now love myself and others.

Now, I’m able to see clearly and am ready to become whole for the first time in my life. This is only possible because I’m a new creature in Jesus Christ and He has made there classes available for me to get total healing from a past that has held me a prisoner.
